Vintage shell carved cameo
in 18K yellow gold frame.
Stamped 750.
It appears signed on the back but I can't make it out.
Cameo has a modern woman profile of the times.
Lovely updo with flowers and tendrils.
Many fine details in the carving, especially flowers
.
Her facial features are sharp with an alert expression.
This piece is circa early 1900's.
Cameo, with burnt orange background and natural carving,
measures 1 1/4" wide by 1 1/2" long (including the frame).
Pin back and safety in perfect working order.
Collapsible bale so the cameo can be worn as a necklace.
Exquisitely carved cameo.
