Shoushan Seal - Three Goats of Fortune

Description

This seal is a beautiful representation of good fortune. The saying "San Yang Kai Tai" means "three goats bring fortune" in one translation. In another translation found, the three goats bring joy and happiness. Whichever translation is relied on, it appears that in the Chinese culture 3 goats are viewed very favorably and symbolize the hope of something good. The color of the seal vary from a caramel-rust color interspersed with clear striations to a gray-green with splotches of white. The head of the largest goat rests on a ruyi scepter.
The seal is about 3.5 inches tall and 1.75 inches across the base. There is no damage.
