A lovely gift shadowbox with a glass front, displaying a fossil shrimp Carpopenaeus, from Haqil (Hakel), Lebanon.  From the Cretaceous, 65+ million years ago.
The display shows one genuine Carpopenaeus fossil, unpainted, not tinted, and not touched up in any way (as is often done).  The shadowbox can be put on any table or mantle, and also can be hung from a wall.  A great treat for anyone interested in fossils!
The item weighs 1 lb. 2 oz.  With frame, it is about 8.2" by 6.2".
