This is a pelagic or free-floating crinoid (Saccocoma pectinata).
While most crinoids attached themselves to the sea floor with a stem and holdfast, crinoids of the order Comatulida, also known as feather stars typically do not have stalks.
They live on the seabeds and reefs in tropical or temperate waters.
The Solnhofen limestone is a famous upper Jurassic Lagerstätte in Germany.
I mean who doesn’t love a fossil that’s Jurassic in age (150 Million years old).
One of the most famous fossils finds of the area Solnhofen was the discovery of the Archaeopteryx, Which essentially has the skeleton of a Dino, but covered in feathers.

This deposit is amongst the most famous and well-known due to the taste diversity of preserved organisms, both plants, and animals.
Among fossil shrimp, there are also superbly preserved jellyfish, squid fish, fossil dragonflies, horseshoe crabs, etc.
