Sam originated in the book written by Robert L May (author of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer) and illustrated by Ruth Bendel. Circa 1970.
Sam appears to be stuffed with sawdust.
He was a promotion for Brach's Candy he is in excellent condition he does not have his book
