Antique Shell Carved CAMEO Brooch in GF Frame~~Curlylocks

Antique shell carved cameo.
Simply bezel set in a gold filled frame.
Cameo is a very modern-looking woman of the times.
In profile, she has curlylocks, roses in her hair, beads and a draped decolletage.
Many fine details in the carving, especially the waves in her hair
and the draping of her dress.
Her facial features are fine with a demure expression.
This piece is circa latter 1800's to early 1900's.
Cameo, with burnt orange background and natural carving,
measures 1 1/2" wide by 2 1/8" long (including the frame).
Pin back and safety in perfect working order.
