    Description

Offered is this antique legal document, plus two attachments, from Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The document, filed with the Court of Common Pleas in the April, 1862 session, is a pre-printed form on bluish-gray paper that has been filled in by hand. There are also two hand-written attachments, also from April, 1862. The main document was filed on April 5, 1862. The names of the people involved are somewhat hard to decipher (see photos). Lycoming County is in northeastern Pennsylvania; the county seat is Williamsport.
The document and attachments are in good condition for their age. All have been folded and there are a few edge tears along the fold lines. The main document is also somewhat wrinkled, as shown. The ink is still fairly dark, although the words are not always easy to decipher, as already noted. The document will be sent folded.
