Cleopatra Philopator Theme Cleopatra decorated her head, body, and other things with the Peacock and Peacock feathers. During the 1920's there was a revival of all things Egyptian. This Hand Painted Limoges Peacock Brooch Pendant is from that time period. Art Deco Hand Painted Luster Peacock Pendant or Brooch, painted on bisque porcelain and in a gold plated frame. It measures 2 1/4" x 2". It has a bale on a swivel so can be added to a chain and worn as a necklace. The bale can be turned down and the piece can be worn as a brooch. It looks like it was a rollover closure and the rollover is no longer there. Works just find as a 'C' type closure. There is some paint wear. The backside of the porcelain is impressed with the number '25'. There are also some other paint marks on the backs that I cannot make out. Just a Great Looking Deco Piece!!
